CM KCR honored the helpers of flood-affected people, some saved children and some tourists
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) on Tuesday presented awards to several personnel, including those who rescued people in the recent floods in the state, during the Independence Day celebrations. These personnel saved people during floods or performed their work well in times of crisis. During this, the personnel helped the people so that their lives could be saved.

Among those who received the award from the CM, Sgt Payam Veenayya of the Tribal Welfare Department, rescued school children trapped in flood water in Kondayi village of Iturunagaram Mandal in Mulugu district. Lineman Mohd Ramhan restored the power supply in Jangaon during the flood. Panchayat secretary Sanjeev rescued 80 tourists at Mutyaldhara in Mulugu district. Along with this, Mulugu Zilla Parishad CEO Prasanna Rani took pregnant women to safer places and worked to provide food supplies to the flood-affected.
CM felicitated Revenue Inspector B Pradeep Kumar who rescued over 100 lives using boats and helicopter services. Along with this, Bhadradri-Kothagudem Additional Collector V Venkateswarlu, Mandal Panchayat Officer Mutyala Rao, Bhupalpally District Police Inspector Rama Narasimha Reddy, Bhupalpally SI V Naresh, ASI Warangal K Sampath, ASI Mulugu for their bravery and exemplary service in the flood affected areas. G Rambabu and Police Constable K Srikanth of Mulugu district were felicitated.
