China's electric car manufacturer BYD is preparing to launch the affordable variant of its Atto 3 EV SUV in the Indian market soon. The company has released a teaser of the new variant of Atto 3 on social media. The company will introduce it in the Indian market on July 10, 2024. Let's know what features it will have.

Smaller battery packs can be seen in many variants of this electric car BYD. This model coming to China has a 60.48 kWh battery pack, which gives a driving range of up to 521 km after a full charge. It is being said that the variant to be launched in India may have a smaller battery pack of 50 kWh.

In India, the Atto 3 model is likely to be relatively inexpensive. This electric SUV is presently priced at Rs 33.99 lakh, while the new entry-level variant is expected to cost between Rs 26 and 28 lakh. All prices listed are ex-showroom. Its pricing may be low because of the smaller battery. The driving range may also be reduced due to the smaller battery pack, which is expected to have a range of 450 kilometers fully charged.

The future entry-level vehicle of the electric automobile BYD Atto 3 variation will receive a new powerplant. The most recent version is driven by an electric motor that generates 201 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque at 150 kW.

After the launch of BYD Atto 3 in the Indian market, it will compete with many cars. These include the Tata Harrier EV, Mahindra XUV.e8, and Hyundai Creta EV, which will be launched in the Indian market next year.
