Big Relief To Swiggy Employees, Now They Will Work Only Four Days A Week

New Delhi: Online food ordering and delivery company Swiggy will allow most of its employees to work from anywhere permanently. The company said in a statement on Friday that employees associated with commercial, central business functions, and technology sectors will be able to continue working from anywhere as per their convenience. It said that the employees will come to their native offices for one week in three months to strengthen mutual relations. However, the employees who are in the role of partner will have to work from the office for a few days a week from their native places, the company said.

Swiggy said that the decision to allow work from anywhere permanently has been taken based on the needs of the company and the feedback from several managers and employees. In the last two years, it has been proved that allowing employees to work according to their convenience has increased productivity with flexibility in tasks. Girish Menon, Head of Human Resources, Swiggy said, “Our focus is to provide employees with flexibility in their work within their job profile. At present, the company's workforce is around 5,000. These are functioning in 487 cities across 27 states and four union territories.
