After winning this match, she became the first player to win the Wuhan Open title for the third time. The 26-year-old Belarusian player won her fourth women's singles title this year, staying unbeaten in Wuhan. Victory in Wuhan has added a new achievement to Sabalenka's account. Apart from Wuhan this year Belarusian player had entered seven women's singles finals including the Australian Open and US Open.
