Apple to Reinvent Siri as AI Chatbot ‘Campos’ With iOS 27: Report
Campos Siri Chatbot: Apple also wants to get ahead in the AI race. Recently, the company confirmed that Siri will be powered by Google Gemini. This means that Apple Siri is now developing its own independent and smart AI chatbot, which will pose a tough challenge to both ChatGPT and Gemini.
Apple is preparing to completely transform its virtual assistant, i.e., "Siri". According to a Bloomberg report, with iOS 27, Siri will arrive as a full-fledged AI chatbot named Campos. This new Siri chatbot will be able to converse like ChatGPT and Google Gemini, operate by viewing the screen, and complete tasks based on the user's personal data.
According to a Bloomberg report, Apple's new Siri chatbot will be known internally as Campos. This chatbot will speak in both voice and text. Furthermore, it will be deeply integrated with iPhones, iPads, and iOS devices, answering questions, generating and summarizing content, and even intelligently accessing users' files, photos, and music.
It will also be a part of the upcoming version, which will be known as iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27. It will also be announced in the month of June through the WWDC, which refers to the Worldwide Developers Conference. It will also be made available in the month of September in the year 2026. It will also be quite different from the new Siri that will be made available in the upcoming version, known as iOS 26.4.
"Campos is able to understand what content is on the screen of the user, such as what is being displayed by a web browser or an application, and make suggestions accordingly." It would be able to modify settings, launch applications, as well as control system functions. "Campos is a feature that finally makes Siri a truly intelligent assistant." It is built on a special model developed by Google, which Apple refers to as Model v11. The key is that these AI models will be swappable. In the future, Apple may replace Google's Gemini with its own model. This is why this is being considered a major step in Apple's long-term AI strategy.

Reports suggest that the initial response to Apple's intelligence has been weak. Even some of Apple's own engineers were concerned about Siri's future. Therefore, OpenAI and Google have rapidly overtaken the AI market. Campos is being prepared to fill that gap.
