Billionaire businessman Gautam Adani's Adani Group and Adani Total Gas Limited, a joint venture of French energy giant Toton Energy, have announced that the company will generate 18,000 to 20,000 liters of gas in the next 8 to 10 years. An investment of Rs 1 crore will be made in the infrastructure of CNG and PNG in the country to send piped gas to homes. This information has been given by the CFO of the company.
Adani Total Gas has 52 licenses in the country, under which the company provides PNG to homes in a total of 124 cities. The company has around 7 lakh, domestic customers. Also, there is a network of 460 CNG pumps.
The demand for gas is increasing rapidly in the country. At the same time, the government's focus is also on promoting clean fuel. Because of this, the consumption of gas by industry and people is increasing across the country.
On behalf of the company's CFO Parag Parekh, it was said that in the long term, our stance is very optimistic about the gas sector. Controlling pollution is a major priority as gas continues to be a preferred clean energy source with greater safety, customer confidence, and delivery convenience.
An investment of Rs 1150 crore was made by Adani Total Gas Limited in the financial year 2022-23 to increase the gas infrastructure.
AGTL CEO Suresh P Mangalani said that the company is going to build 1800 CNG stations in 7 to 10 years. We aspire to provide piped natural gas to homes in almost all parts of the country.
