According to the information, in the case, the then police station officer of Barloot, Devichand Dhaka, received information on 7 December 2012 at around 8:25 am that a truck loaded with opium milk from Madhya Pradesh was going towards Jalore via Jawal. After this, a blockade was made by the police near Bavda village. During that time, the policemen stopped a truck passing by and searched it. It was found that there was a box-like structure behind the driver and its lid was locked. Its keys were found with a youth named Omprakash who was travelling in the truck.
When Omprakash was asked to open the lock, a black-colored liquid was found in a transparent plastic bag. When it was sent to examine, it came out that it was the opium milk. On asking about the license relating to opium milk, no documents were found. When five sacks found in the box were weighed, 51.200 kg of opium milk came out. On this, the police seized the opium milk and arrested both the youths.
