The Hero Xtreme 160R gets a major upgrade in the form of a gear position indicator on the LCD instrument panel. At the same time, much information like speedometer, tachometer, and dual trip meter is available on the LCD panel. Prices of the new Xtreme start at Rs. 1.17 lakhs. The company has not made any changes to the engine of the Xtreme 160R 2022. The previous 163 cc engine has been given in the 2022 Hero Xtreme 160R. Customers get the 5-speed transmission in the new bike. However, its engine power is less than Bajaj Pulsar N160 and TVS Apache 160. But the engine power of the new Hero Xtreme 160R is slightly higher than the competition of Honda X Blade. The biggest thing is that the Xtreme 160R weighs 138.5 kg and is the lightest bike in its segment.

LEDs have been used a lot as a major change on the Hero Xtreme 160R. The new bike gets a black finishing tail section with LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED turn indicator, sculpted fuel tank, and separate tail lamps. The engine assembly, exhaust pipe, and alloy wheels of the Hero Xtreme 160R have also been introduced with black color and a more sporty look.
