14-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavanshi Smashes 171 in 95 Balls, Sets Multiple World Records in U-19 Asia Cup

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14-year-old, is emerging as a youth cricket sensation in India. Vaibhav Suryavanshi broke records by scoring 171 runs in mere 95 balls on December 12th in the first match of U-19 Asia Cup. This result enabled India to achieve an impressive total of 433/6 against UAE. Notably, with these performances, Vaibhav Suryavanshi broke two more world records. It appears that Vaibhav Suryavanshi set multiple records as a 14-year-old, which are unbreakable within 8 months after he stepped into cricket.
Vaibhav scored a brilliant century against UAE. His century came in just 56 balls. While batting, he hit 9 fours and 14 sixes. By virtue of this century, he achieved the record of being the youngest centurion in U-19 Asia Cup. He hit 14 sixes during this innings. With this, he also became the batsman with the most sixes (14) in a single innings in the Under-19 Asia Cup.
Vaibhav holds the record for the fastest century (52 balls) in a Youth ODI. He achieved this feat against England Under-19 in July 2025. Previously, this record was held by Pakistan's Kamran Ghulam (53 balls). Furthermore, Vaibhav became the first player to hit 50+ sixes in a Youth ODI. Thanks to his century against the UAE, he also became the batsman with the most sixes in a single match in youth cricket. Suryavanshi broke the record held by Australia's Michael Hill, who hit 12 sixes against Namibia U19 in 2008.
