Western Disturbance to Bring Clouds, Light Rain in Rajasthan from December 18–20
Rajasthan Weather Update: Normal winter is expected in Rajasthan until December 25th. Meteorologists predict that the cold will intensify rapidly after Christmas.
A feeble western disturbance might bring clouding conditions in some regions of the state. A new western disturbance would also be rising as an active system over the Himalayas from December 13th. Its effects might bring a fall of 1-2 degrees in the minimum temperatures. According to the Meteorological Centre, Jaipur, there would be a new western disturbance rising as an active system in the state from December 18th-20th. Its effects might also bring snowfall. Forecasts have been made that the chilly conditions in Rajasthan would continue at normal levels till December 25th. The chill would escalate sharply after Christmas.
The weather in Rajasthan remained dry and clear over the past 24 hours. Several cities recorded a slight increase in maximum temperatures due to sunny skies. Barmer was the hottest place on Thursday with a temperature of 32 degrees Celsius. Mount Abu was the coldest place in the state with a temperature of 3 degrees Celsius. Fatehpur recorded a minimum temperature of 4 degrees Celsius and Nagaur recorded a minimum temperature of 5 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Center, the weather in the state will remain clear and the temperature will be normal till December 17. The western disturbance, which will become active between December 18 and 20, may cause clouds and light rain in the Bikaner division. The weather is forecast to remain clear again in the state from December 21 to 25, while light fog may be seen at some places in northern Rajasthan. The temperature is likely to remain around normal during this period.
