VGU won Bronze Medal in American Football: All India Inter University Championship

The students of Jagatpura-based Vivekananda Global University have set an example for the people by achieving great success in the sports world. The All India Inter University Championship 22-23 held at Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh from February 8 to 12 was hosted by Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University. In the competition, VGU students embraced success by winning the bronze medal in American football.
Out of a total of 44 teams, 36 flag football and 8 tackle football teams participated in the competition. VGU's team stood third. The team achieved this milestone under the leadership of coach Ravi Rao and captain Suresh Bhatesar. Sharing his experience of the competition, player Lokesh Kadwasara, who was a part of the team, said that this victory is the result of the hard work of our team for three months.
Ravi Bhatesar said that the team performed better than the practice matches during the tournament. Due to the brilliant performance of the team's main receiver Dheeraj Kumawat, he was awarded the Most Valuable Player Award in the competition. Other players including Mukesh Loyal, Tarun Pratap Singh, Sachin Singh, Samadhan Mangate, and Nilesh Netwal joined the team.
Yogesh Kumar, a student of Vivekananda Global University, has achieved a great achievement by winning the bronze medal in the mixed team by being a part of the Khelo India Youth Games. This game is organized every year for the last 5 years and this time it happened in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In this game, the top 16 players from all over India are selected for the 10-meter air pistol. Out of this, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) selects outstanding players for five years. Yogesh Kumar, a student of VGU, won three medals at the All India GV Mavalankar, Kerala and created a 10m air pistol rifle singles national record in the 65th National Shooting Championship.
