The domestic auto giant claimed to have filed 222 patents and 117 design applications during FY24. Tata Motors also said that it has received permission for 333 patents during this period, which is the highest so far. At present the company has a total of 850 such patents which have received permission.

Tata Motors, the top automaker in the country, filed a record number of patents during the fiscal year. According to reports, the business has filed an unprecedented number of patents to safeguard its innovations. According to the domestic auto giant, in FY24, 222 patents and 117 design applications were filed.

Tata Motors has also stated that, in the same time frame, it was granted permission for 333 patents, the greatest number to date. Currently, the company has permission for 850 of these patents.

According to a press release issued by Tata Motors, the patents and design applications filed span the spectrum of processes and innovations. It focuses on automotive trends like Connectivity, Electrification, Sustainability, and Safety (CESS).

Apart from this, patents have also been filed by the company for vehicle systems like powertrain, body and trim, suspension, brakes, and HVAC. Tata Motors is focusing on launching passenger vehicles. The company's new technology is playing an important role in this.

Tata Motors said that the step of filing the highest number of patents shows their responsibility towards innovation. Talking about this milestone, Tata Motors President and Chief Technology Officer Rajendra Petkar said that the company has always been working towards research and innovation. He has worked to bring new innovations to the customers.
