Special feature can come soon in WhatsApp, users' experience will change
Whatsapp is one such messaging app that is used by thousands of people in India. The company also keeps adding new features to improve its user experience. This time also the company has introduced a new feature which is currently for beta users. This is called bottom navigation. Let us tell you that even before the company has brought it once.
Millions of people in India and around the world use Meta's messaging app to connect with their family and friends. With its help, you can make video calls or send money apart from messaging people you know. Not only this, it keeps bringing new updates from time to time to improve its user experience.
Continuing this trend, WhatsApp has once again started rolling out the navigation bar on Android with the latest beta update. WABetaInfo, a platform that tracks all updates and changes on WhatsApp, has reported that many users around the world have once again started rolling out the iOS-like bottom navigation bar on Android in beta.
This is not the first time that WhatsApp is getting the bottom navigation bar on Android. A few months back, WhatsApp released the update in beta and then removed it in future updates. With the latest beta version 2.23.13.9, the bottom navigation bar is back. Now it is available to many beta users.
If you've looked at the WhatsApp app on iPhone, you might have noticed the bottom navigation bar instead of the top tabs on Android. Tabs have been replaced with a bottom navigation bar that includes options such as Chat, Status, Community, and Call.
It looks interesting and trendy. However, the new design comes with an important disadvantage. With this change, WhatsApp has also removed the swipe navigation gesture from the app. This means that you can no longer swipe left or right to switch between different taps or options.
WhatsApp has previously tested this new bottom navigation bar and then disabled it for some time. Now that it's back, we hope it makes it to the stable version soon. That said, WhatsApp hasn't officially confirmed anything yet and it may take a few updates to arrive at a stable version of the app.
