The epic film RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli and premiered on October 21 of last year in Japan, is now in its 20th week of continuous theatrical distribution and has earned more than 80 crore there. The movie, which opened in 209 theaters and 31 Imax locations across 44 Japanese towns and prefectures, has become the highest-grossing Indian production there.

The movie is now in its 20th week of release in Japanese theaters, according to the RRR official Twitter account of director SS Rajamouli. "This tweet's interaction and praises reflect how RRR is progressively gaining traction in Japan with each passing day," stated the tweet. I'm happy that the movie is attracting a lot of viewers and is presently showing in 202 theaters in its 20th week. I adore you, Japan.

According to a Box Office India report, the movie RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, has already made over 80 crores and is projected to surpass 100 crores by the conclusion of its theatrical run in Japan. The amazing action sequences in RRR, which earned over 1000 crore globally throughout its theatrical run, were praised.

RRR made history earlier this week when it won the Oscar for Best Original Song, becoming the first Indian production to do so. Naatu Naatu was played live at the 2023 Oscars, and it received a standing ovation. Every time she announced the name of the song or the movie, the crowd clapped in support of Deepika Padukone as she introduced the performance.
Composer MM Keeravani made the following statement in his acceptance speech after winning the Oscar for Naatu Naatu: "There was just one desire on my mind...RRR has to win...the pride of every Indian...and it must place me on top of the globe."

Naatu Naatu really rose to the status of a worldwide phenomenon in recent months. The soundtrack caused the crowds to cheer and dance in the aisles at all of its most recent showings in the west. RRR is a fictitious narrative based on the lives of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, two well-known rebels who lived in the pre-independence period in the 1920s. Jr. NTR played Bheem while Ram Charan portrayed Ram.
