Sunil Kumar Pintu, a JDU MP, stated during the Lok Sabha's discussion on the Ram Temple that January 22 is a historic day that ought to be observed as a public holiday. The JDU MP said that Ram is incomplete without Sita and a grand temple should be built at the birthplace of Mother Sita in Bihar. At the same time, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) MP Arvind Sawant attacked the BJP government. Arvind Sawant said that the principles of Lord Ram need to be followed and one should not backstab others to gain power.
