Ram Mandir: 'Declare January 22 as a public holiday in the entire country', JDU MP demands from the government

On January 22, the Ram temple in Ayodhya was officially opened. On that day, Ramlala's life was dedicated, and the entire nation was in a state of celebration. There is currently a push to make this day a public holiday. A JDU MP demanded on Saturday that the government make January 22nd a public holiday in remembrance of the Ram Temple's consecration ceremony.

Prime Minister Modi was the main guest at the Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya last month on January 22.

Sunil Kumar Pintu, a JDU MP, stated during the Lok Sabha's discussion on the Ram Temple that January 22 is a historic day that ought to be observed as a public holiday. In addition, he expressed the hope that Mother Sita's birthplace would be elevated and a magnificent temple constructed there, similar to the Ram temple.

The JDU MP said that Ram is incomplete without Sita and a grand temple should be built at the birthplace of Mother Sita in Bihar. At the same time, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) MP Arvind Sawant attacked the BJP government. Arvind Sawant said that the principles of Lord Ram need to be followed and one should not backstab others to gain power.

Arvind Sawant said that Lord Ram had renounced the kingdom to fulfil his father's promise. Lord Rama kept his word and never went back from it. At the same time, NCP MP Amol Ramsingh Kolhe said that Lord Ram should not be politicized. Also, politics and religion should not be mixed.

Apart from this, Amol Ramsing Kolhe demanded the early completion of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial located in the Arabian Sea near the coast of Mumbai. He said that PM Modi had laid its foundation stone in 2016, but this work remains incomplete.
