UNESCO Award: UNESCO Bangkok said in a statement that the urban regeneration of Rambagh Gate and Ramparts in Punjab, keeping the people, heritage and creativity at the core, has received the highest honour Award of Excellence. Three projects, Fanling Golf Course in Hong Kong SAR (China), Dongguan Garden Residence in Yangzhou (China) and Karnikara Mandapam at Kunnamangalam Bhagavathi Temple in Kerala received the Award of Distinction.

Punjab's Rambagh Gate and ramparts won UNESCO award, Kerala's Bhagwati Temple also got the honour.

Heritage conservation projects related to the urban revitalization of Rambagh Gate and Ramparts in Punjab, the Church of the Epiphany in Haryana and Bikaner House in Delhi have won UNESCO awards. This year's UNESCO Asia-Pacific Prize for Cultural Heritage Conservation has had 12 projects from China, India and Nepal accepted by the award jury.

UNESCO Bangkok said in a statement that the urban revitalization of the Rambagh Gate and Walls in Punjab, with people, heritage and creativity at its core, has received the highest honour, the 'Award of Excellence'. Three projects are being fanned in Hong Kong SAR (China). Golf Course; Dongguan Garden Residence in Yangzhou (China) and Karnikara Mandapam at Kunnamangalam Bhagwati Temple in Kerala received the 'Award of Distinction'.

Five projects were handed the 'Award of Merit', including Yan Nan Yuan at Peking University, Beijing (China); Pan Family Residence in Suzhou (China); Church of Epiphany in Haryana; These include David Sassoon Library and Reading Room in Mumbai and Bikaner House in New Delhi. Karnikara Mandapam at Kunnamangalam Bhagwati Temple in Kerala, Peepal Haveli in Punjab and Sikami Chhen in Kathmandu were awarded 'Special Recognition for Sustainable Development' for their transformative heritage practices.

Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has been considered one of the most beautiful airports in the world. It has been awarded the World Special Prize for 'Interiors 2023' by UNESCO's Prix Versailles. It is the only Indian airport to receive such an honour. Hari Marar, Managing Director of Bengaluru International Airport Limited, the company that oversees the operations of KIA, said on receiving the award that it is a proud moment for us.
