Oppo Reno 15 Series Introduces AI Editor 3.0 and 4K HDR Video on All Cameras
Oppo is preparing to expand its Reno smartphone lineup in India. The Reno 15 series will be launched in the country soon. This series will include the Reno 15 Pro, Pro Mini, and Reno 15. These models will feature improved portrait photography and video recording features.
Oppo has also announced plans to introduce an extended range of smartphones in India called the Reno 15 series. The new series will be accompanied by three different versions - Reno 15 Pro, Pro Mini, and Reno 15. The company also appreciated another key feature of these upcoming smartphones - portrait mode and video camera capabilities. This will also come along with an upgraded camera system and AI capabilities. The pricing details will be revealed during the launch.
Oppo India made an announcement on Friday that it will be releasing the Reno 15 series lineup in India on 8th January. The series will consist of models Oppo Reno 15 Pro 5G, Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini 5G, and Oppo Reno 15 5G. The company will introduce a new camera system focused on portrait photography and video features. Oppo has also confirmed the new camera hardware. However, pricing and availability details will be announced at launch.
The Oppo Reno 15 Pro 5G and Reno 15 Pro Mini 5G will come equipped with a 200MP main sensor at the back, a 50MP tele-camera with a 3.5x magnification lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor boasting a 100-degree FOV. The tele-camera will retain 3.5x optical zoom. The device will come with a feature to optimize a group photo and a feature known as tone balancing, which can alter light and color depending on their surroundings.
The Reno series 15 series is set to feature the AI Editor 3.0, which would be packed with functions such as AI Portrait Glow and the ability to edit motion photos. The Oppo Reno series is also set to feature Dual Conversion Gain video support on the primary sensor.

Both the upcoming Oppo Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro Mini models will support 4K HDR video recording at up to 60 frames per second on the front, main, ultra-wide, and telephoto cameras. Video features will include electronic image stabilization, optical image stabilization on select cameras, dual-view video recording, and the ability to take photos while recording video.
The standard Oppo Reno 15 5G will bring many of these AI camera features at a lower price and will feature a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel 3.5x telephoto camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide rear camera on the back, as well as a 50-megapixel ultra-wide selfie shooter.
Based on previous leaks, the Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini is expected to have a box price of ₹64,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the retail price is expected to be around ₹59,999 after adjustments and possible bank offers.
The Oppo Reno 15 series will be available for sale on Flipkart, Amazon, and the Oppo India online store. These phones will feature an aerospace-grade aluminum frame with HoloFusion technology and will have IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini is expected to feature a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a 93.35 percent screen-to-body ratio, while the Reno 15 Pro could feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel, and the standard Reno 15 could feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display. All models are expected to feature full-HD+ resolution, with the Pro variant offering higher peak brightness.
The Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, pack a 6,200mAh battery with 80W fast charging, and weigh around 187g. Color options and dimensions are also expected to vary across the lineup.
