DDA is facing criticism all over for levying an entry fee in a Sector 16D park in Dwarka. It is being claimed that it is an anti-people health move. Aam Aadmi Party has directly attacked the BJP government in this matter. The party said that by imposing entry fees in parks, BJP has made it clear that now it will impose tax on everything one by one from the Delhiites. All the free facilities being extended to the public will be discontinued step by step.

DDA has levied a charge of Rs 20 per day and Rs 200 for a monthly pass to enter the park. For senior citizens, the charge has been levied at Rs 10 and Rs 100. For foreigners, the charge has been levied at Rs 100 per day. DDA has unofficially explained that levying the charge will prevent undesirable people from entering the park and maintain its beauty.

Fitness expert and dietician Komal Gupta told Amar Ujala that this is an anti-people step. Already, the trend of walking in parks is very low among the people here. People are working less or exercising less due to which diseases like obesity, sugar, and blood pressure are increasing among people. At a time when the Prime Minister is talking about getting rid of obesity by adopting better health methods, at the same time, people are being discouraged from entering the park by imposing an entry fee.
