In recent times, Mahindra Thar 5 Door has been spotted testing. New LED headlights and halogen headlamps can be seen in this car. Along with this, it is equipped with an LED unit with a ring-shaped DRL. Its design is quite different from the 3-door Thar.

The 3-door model was offered with a convertible soft top option. This car has been seen during testing. Many powerful features can be found in it compared to Thar. The previous prototype may have got a new headline, a front armrest, a sunglasses holder, and an electric sunroof.

The upcoming Thar comes with 2.2-litre diesel (128 HP) and 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (150 HP) engines. It is offered with both automatic and manual transmission. It is likely to get an optional 4x2 configuration along with 4x4 in the 5-door version. The ex-showroom price of 3-door Thar in the Indian market ranges between Rs 10.98 lakh to Rs 16.94 lakh. Whereas 5-door Thar will come at a higher price than this.
