'Laxman' of Ramayana ripped apart Adipurush, said- Ravana left Pushpak Viman and came sitting on a bat
Ramayan's Sunil Lahri On Adipurush: Om Raut's Adipurush is facing all-around trolling. Now actor Sunil Lahiri, who played the role of Laxman in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana, has given his review about the film and has ripped apart Adipurush.
The mythological drama film Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, is getting embroiled in controversies. The film is not being liked by the general public. At the same time, actor Sunil Lahiri, who now plays Laxman in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana, has given a review of the film.
Sunil Lahiri shared a video on his official Instagram account, where he ripped apart Adipurush. Talking about the film, the actor described its dialogue as useless and the scenes awkward. He also questioned the characters of Ravana, Hanuman, and Meghnath.
Sunil Lahiri said, "I got a chance to see Adipurush. There was a lot of hope that something different, something new and completely different from Ramayana would be seen, but it was disappointing. Don't play with your culture in the name of doing something different, something different." It is done, that too by its own people.
He further said, "The characters are not defined. The public does not connect emotionally with the scenes. The dialogues are also very useless. Can you imagine that Hanuman ji will say this - 'Tel tere baap ka kapra tere baap ka' or Meghnath will speak. - 'Let's go out'?"
Talking about Ravana, Sunil Lahiri said, "Can you imagine that Ravana will leave Pushpak Vimana and come on a bat? Meghnath and Lakshmana's fight will be underwater? Sorry, but I didn't expect this kind of idiocy from any filmmaker." You should not play with our culture. You have played with the sentiments of the audience, public, and countrymen. You should apologize for this."
Many people also commented on this video of Sunil Lahiri. People agreed with his review regarding Adipurush and said that no one can make anything like Ramayana again.
