Lagaan actor Javed Khan Amrohi passed away

Senior actor Javed Khan Amrohi passed away on Tuesday. At the age of 60, he breathed his last at Surya Nursing Home, Santacruz, Mumbai. Javed was suffering from a respiratory disease for a long time, and he was on bed rest for the last year. Both his lungs had failed.
Chandrakanta actor Akhilendra Mishra gave the news of Javed's death on his Facebook handle. Later on the evening of 14 February, he was buried at the Oshiwara cemetery.
Born in Mumbai, Javed Khan did many excellent supporting and cameo roles in his career. Javed Khan was a known face of the TV and cinema world. He also played a supporting role in the Academy Award-nominated film Lagaan. Apart from this, he was highly appreciated for many films including Chak De India, and Andaz Apna Apna.
Talking about the TV world, Javed Khan did a great job in Mirza Ghalib. Apart from this, he was also a faculty at the Institute of Media Arts. He worked in about 150 Hindi films. Javed was also known for his comedy. He played the character of a constable in the film 'Phir Hera Pheri', which was well-liked by the fans.
