What is an open jail Inmates living in an open jail are allowed to go outside to work during the day. In the evening, they all return back to the jail. Prisoners living in open prisons are different from normal prisoners. Prisoners who have good conduct and discipline are kept in open jails. Only those prisoners remain in the jail who follow the jail rules properly and stay disciplined. Those who want to return to the mainstream of society again. Prisoners along with their families live in the open jail.
