However, fate had other plans, as riots erupted in Kinshasa and Lubumbashi, testing Rizwan's mettle and pushing him to his limits. Yet, against all odds, he emerged stronger, with a spirit unbroken.
His next chapter unfolded in Maputo, where he started afresh, building his grocery store empire from the ground up. The path was arduous, and tragedy struck when he received news of his father's passing in India. Amidst personal loss, Rizwan encountered fierce competitors who grew envious of his success and attempted to undermine his business by falsely accusing his staff of misconduct. Yet, through resilience and the support of his loyal colleagues, justice prevailed, reinforcing Rizwan's belief in the power of goodness and honesty.
Rizwan's relentless pursuit of growth led him to envision an expansive future, with his sights set on establishing stores throughout Mozambique. Fuelled by his unwavering determination, he achieved what seemed impossible, opening 22 stores across eight states in just three years. His unprecedented success allowed him to create his own brand, attracting admiration and establishing him as a Mozambique-based top entrepreneur.

However, Rizwan's journey was not without its share of setbacks. As he celebrated his accomplishments, internal challenges arose when newly hired management members engaged in manipulative tactics to force him out of his own company. Yet, true to his ethical principles, Rizwan made a selfless decision to prioritize the well-being of his employees, relinquishing control of the company he had built with unwavering dedication.
Undeterred by adversity, Rizwan embarked on a new chapter by founding COGEF, a multinational private consumer goods group that would serve as a testament to his resilience and determination. In an unexpected turn of events, the previous management team at Ayul Trading sought Rizwan's expertise, leading to his reacquisition of the struggling company. Through it all, Rizwan's steadfastness and commitment to his goals have remained unwavering, propelling him to his current role as the esteemed Chairman of COGEF.
But Rizwan's story is not limited to business success alone. He understands the importance of giving back to society, a commitment he fulfills through his NGO, RAF Global.
