The team's star fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, has left the IPL and gone back to his homeland South Africa for personal reasons. The franchise revealed this. The team didn't mention when Rabada will come back. He has only appeared in two matches so far.

The Gujarat team released a statement informing that Kagiso Rabada has gone back to South Africa based on some personal issues. But no confirmation has been provided about him returning. Rabada is Gujarat's star pacer, and his unavailability can prove to be a huge setback to Gujarat. South Africa's Gerald Coetzee too traveled with the team, but depending on how well he plays, we need to see if he will get a game or not. Gujarat defeated Mumbai Indians and RCB after losing their first match against Punjab and went into fourth in the table.

Rabada took one wicket each against Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians.
