Cloud Cover Brings Relief From Cold as Western Disturbance Fades in Rajasthan

The effect of the western disturbance in Rajasthan remained less on Sunday. Light cloud cover occurred in most parts of the divisions of Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ajmer, and Jaipur. As a result, the effect of reduced cold winds increased the night minimum temperatures. The Meteorological Center, Jaipur, has forecast a dry spell in the state for the next five days. During the last 24 hours, light cloud cover occurred in many places, including Jaipur, Sikar, Dausa, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Alwar, Ajmer, and Barmer, which affected the intensity of sun rays. Fog occurred in Ganganagar and Hanumangarh at 10 to 11 am.

Temperature-wise, Jaisalmer measured a maximum of 26 degrees Celsius, which is 3 degrees less than normal. Barmer recorded 29.4 degrees Celsius, Jodhpur 30.5 degrees Celsius, Bikaner 29 degrees Celsius, Churu 28.3 degrees Celsius, Sriganganagar 24.5 degrees Celsius, Udaipur 28 degrees Celsius, Chittorgarh 28.8 degrees Celsius, Kota 26.7 degrees Celsius, Sikar 27 degrees Celsius, Pilani 27.6 degrees Celsius, Jaipur and Ajmer 26.8 degrees Celsius, and Alwar 25 degrees Celsius.

Clouds weakened northern winds, leading to an increase in minimum temperatures and providing some relief from the harsh winter in the Shekhawati region. Minimum temperatures in Sikar, Fatehpur, Churu, Jhunjhunu, and Pilani have increased by about 3 degrees Celsius over the past two days. On Sunday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 7.5 degrees Celsius in Fatehpur, 9 in Sikar, 9.6 in Pilani and 9.8 degrees Celsius in Churu. In other districts, the minimum temperature was recorded at 7.2 degrees Celsius in Karauli, 7.8 in Dausa, 6.9 in Lunkaransar, 9.9 in Pali, 8.6 in Baran, 7 in Nagaur, 8.7 in Jalore, 9.6 in Udaipur, 9.3 in Chittorgarh, 7.5 in Alwar and 9 degrees Celsius in Vanasthali (Tonk) and Bhilwara. According to weather experts, light fog may occur in some areas of Ganganagar and Hanumangarh on Monday as well, while the weather will remain dry in most parts of the state.
