Blast in Tamil Nadu's Madurai Firecracker Factory: 5 workers were blown to pieces, 10 injured

An explosion took place at a firecracker factory near Usilampatti in Tamil Nadu's Madurai district on Thursday. The factory caught fire after the explosion. In this accident, 5 workers working in the factory died, while about 10 workers were injured. An official of Sindhupatti police station said that the blast was so strong that the bodies of 5 workers working in the factory were blown up to pieces.
On getting information about the accident, the fire brigade and police team reached the spot. SP Madurai has confirmed the accident. He said the reason for the blast is not yet known. The investigation is on, the reason will be known soon. The deceased have been identified as Ammavasi, Vallarasu, Gopi, Vicky and Prema. At the same time, the condition of the injured in the accident also remains critical.
Earlier in September, a firecracker factory exploded in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. 7 labourers died while many labourers were injured. Earlier in July, there was an explosion at the Neyveli Lignite Power Plant. 5 people died in this accident, while 17 people were injured.
