Bawaal First Look Poster Revealed, Janhvi Kapoor-Varun Dhawan's Film Premieres On Amazon Prime Video
Varun Dhawan took to Instagram on Monday to share the poster of 'Bawaal', featuring him and Janhvi Kapoor, with both of them smiling at each other. The caption revealed that the film is set to create a stir in July and is going global, premiering worldwide in over 200 countries and territories exclusively on Prime Video. The first look poster showcased the lead pair, Varun and Janhvi, lost in each other's gaze, with Janhvi donning an ethnic look adorned with traditional Indian earrings, while Varun sported a blue shirt and a grey jacket.
Regarding the decision to release the film directly on a streaming platform, Sajid, the co-producer under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, highlighted the film's gripping narrative set in the heartland of India, combined with its global appeal. He expressed the belief that a film with such roots and wide-ranging appeal should reach audiences not only in India but across the world.
While 'Bawaal' gears up for its OTT release, the first half of July promises an interesting lineup at the Indian box office. Movies like 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, and 'Indiana Jones: The Dial of Destiny' featuring Harrison Ford will extend their run from June 29. However, Hollywood releases like Tom Cruise's 'Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One' on July 14, Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer,' and Greta Gerwig's adaptation of 'Barbie' starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling on July 21 will dominate most of July. The month will conclude with the much-anticipated release of Karan Johar's romantic comedy 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani' on July 28, marking Johar's directorial return after seven years and featuring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, and Jaya Bachchan.
