Bajaj Auto has announced special discounts on the Chetak electric scooter for the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu this festive season. With offers, customers can buy it at an attractive price of Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The special festive price is valid till stocks last. This is a great opportunity to buy Bajaj Chetak, launched at a starting price of Rs 1.3 lakh.

The latest update makes the Bajaj Chetak much cheaper than the Ather 450S, Ola S1 Air, TVS iQube, and similar in this segment. In comparison, the listed price of the electric scooter after the FAME II subsidy updation was Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The latest price drop could lead to a good saving of Rs 29,000. Bajaj has not confirmed whether it plans to implement the special festive price in other cities as well.

The Chetak Electric gets a 2.9 kWh battery pack, while power comes from a PMS electric motor tuned for 4.2 kW (5.3 bhp) and 20 Nm of peak torque. This electric model promises an ARAI-certified range of 108 km on a single charge, while the actual range is 90 km. The e-scooter can be fully charged in five hours through slow charging, fast charging is not available in it.

Some of the USPs of Bajaj Chetak include all-metal construction, which is a first in the e-scooter segment. The model also gets Bluetooth connectivity and an LCD instrument console with an IP67 water resistance rating.
