Bajaj Auto, India's largest two-wheeler maker, is all set to introduce its famous cruiser bike, Bajaj Avenger Street 220. The bike has recently completed its homologation (certification), which simply implies that this bike will soon be spotted plying on the roads.

The company is offering only two models of Bajaj Avenger, which are Avenger Street 160cc and Avenger Cruise 220cc. The company is about to launch Avenger 220 Street in India. The new Avenger 220 Street will be slightly smaller than the 220 Cruise, as it will not get a long windshield.

Bajaj Avenger Street 220 is going to receive the oil-cooled SOHC 2V/cylinder single-cylinder 220cc motor found on the Avenger 220 Cruise. The motor will produce the peak power of 9.03 PS and the peak torque of 17.55 Nm. It has a 5-speed gearbox attached to it.

Bajaj Avenger Street 220 would be positioned below the Avenger 220 Cruise. Its present ex-showroom price is Rs 1.48 lakh. The ex-showroom price of Venger 220 Street would be expected to be about Rs 1.4 lakh or below. Its launch would provide a fillip to the sales of the Avenger brand, whose sales in April 2025 crossed slightly over a thousand units and dipped by a massive 46% year-on-year. Kawasaki W175, TVSRonin, and Bajaj Avenger are sold in the Indian market. The Avenger 220 Street's relaunch would help get the Avenger brand back on track and provide a new alternative for cruiser bike enthusiasts in India.

Bajaj Avenger Street 220 will be positioned below the Avenger 220 Cruise. Its current ex-showroom price is Rs 1.48 lakh. It is expected that the ex-showroom price of Venger 220 Street can be around Rs 1.4 lakh or less. Its arrival could boost the sales of the Avenger brand, which stood at just over a thousand units in April 2025 and saw a decline of 46% year-on-year. Kawasaki's W175, TVS Ronin, and Bajaj Avenger are available for sale in the Indian market. The relaunch of the Avenger 220 Street could help revive the Avenger brand and offer a new option for cruiser motorcycle lovers in India.
