AI-based traffic management system will start in Sikkim from May 25, know details

The Sikkim Transport Department announced on Thursday that the state's artificial intelligence (AI)-based traffic management system will go live on May 25.

By automatically detecting violations and verifying documents, the system seeks to improve regulation efficiency and modernize traffic management.

"To modernize traffic management and increase the efficiency and accuracy of traffic regulation, the Government of Sikkim is implementing an Artificial intelligence-based traffic management system," the transport department said.

According to a notice issued by the department, "All vehicle owners (including government vehicles) are informed to keep all the documents of their vehicle updated. In case of any discrepancy in issuing e-challan, the SP of the district is informed." /May be brought to the notice of RTO."
