Another new feature is coming in WhatsApp, users will be able to choose the default theme
To understand it with an example, if the dark mode is on in the phone, then WhatsApp will also work in dark mode, but after the new update, the theme of WhatsApp can be changed despite the theme of the phone being dark.
A new feature is coming to WhatsApp, the Meta-owned instant messaging app, after which users can select a default theme for the app. As of now, WhatsApp's theme depends upon the theme of the phone settings of the user, but this won't be the case once the new update arrives.
Now, let us understand it with an example: if the dark mode is on in the phone, then WhatsApp also works in dark mode. Now, with the new update, even though the theme of the phone has been put down as dark, this theme in WhatsApp can be changed. As per information received from WABetaInfo, this feature on WhatsApp is being tested for Android's beta version 2.24.18.6.
It's not possible to say when it will reach its final update as of now. WABetaInfo has also shared a screenshot of the feature while two different themes can be seen with green color where green can be replaced by black. A similar feature was also seen on WhatsApp last month.
