Arshdeep Singh was very upset after not getting a chance in England, coach's big revelation

Gagandeep Singh, bowling coach of the Punjab cricket team, says he is surprised that Arshdeep Singh was not given a chance in even a single match during the India vs England Test series despite being part of the squad. He had to sit on the bench throughout the five-match Test series. Although he came very close to making his Test debut in the India vs England fourth Test in Manchester, he had to be ruled out due to an unfortunate hand injury during practice, ending his hopes. 

Gagandeep told The Hindu that he has worked very closely with Arshdeep Singh. He revealed that Arshdeep was feeling restless and impatient after not getting a chance in the playing XI. He was genuinely surprised that he wasn't given an opportunity to debut despite the conditions being favorable for seam and swing in England. 

Gagandeep said he personally feels he should have gotten a chance in England. They spoke to him a few months ago while he was in England. He was very upset about not being included in the Test team. The coach supported Arshdeep to play Tests in the future and said that his skills are fully suitable for red ball cricket. He mentioned that earlier, he hadn't been given a chance in the red ball format because the selectors cited his lack of experience.
