US President's deputy assistant expressed concern

US President's Deputy Assistant and Coordinator Kurt Campbell has said that some of China's steps along the border with India are provocative. In a conversation with the think tank Center for New American Security in the US, he said that cases of Chinese incursions and conflicts along the border have increased. This can lead to a bigger conflict.
China's efforts to unilaterally change the LAC in eastern Ladakh from 2020 are a serious threat to peace. India's friendly countries and partners are worried about this. Campbell said that America is not an ally of India and will never be. But that doesn't mean we can't be close partners.
America should now support India in the deadlock with China. This was revealed by the Center for a New American Security on Thursday in a report titled 'India-China Border Tension and US Strategy in the Indo-Pacific'.
Campbell told the think-tank that some of the moves China has taken along this vast 5,000-mile border are provocative and deeply worrying for Indian partners and friends. The report offers a number of suggestions to help prevent and respond to Chinese aggression along the border with India.
