Amidst the possibilities of layoffs and global economic recession, big and relieving news is coming out.
ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook today informed in a survey that the hiring trend may continue at a steady pace in the July-September quarter of the current financial year.
Nearly 3,020 employers in the survey told Employment Outlook that despite the uncertain situation, the labor market is showing positive signs in the third quarter of 2023.
According to the total employer responses, at least 49 percent of employers are a positive sign for hiring while 13 percent of employers are not looking to hire. Apart from this, there are 36 percent who prefer to hire on the basis of need.
Let us tell you that compared to the same period last year, there has been a decline of 15 percent in the hiring sentiment, while it has increased by 6 percent compared to the previous quarter.
Globally, employers in all 41 countries are showing positive signs of hiring. Among these countries, Costa Rica topped the chart with a positive sign of 43 percent, followed by the Netherlands (39 percent) and Peru (38 percent) at number three.
India ranks fifth in the global list, followed by Australia with 36 percent. Whereas in Japan it is 14 percent and in Taiwan, it is 15 percent.
According to the survey report, companies in IT, technology, telecom, communication, and media indicated positive hiring of 47 percent. Of these, 89 percent are currently hiring for green jobs. This is followed by 41 percent hiring indications in the financial and real estate sector.
The West is the most promising for 42 percent hiring, followed by the North with 39 percent, the seven South with 33 percent, and the East with 29 percent.
