In addition to the western districts, Kota, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Udaipur, and Jodhpur also experienced intense heat. The maximum temperature in Chittorgarh was recorded at 43.4 degrees Celsius, Jodhpur at 42.9 degrees Celsius, and Kota and Bikaner at 42 degrees Celsius.
However, the weather in some parts of eastern Rajasthan also showed a slight change. Cloudy skies, dust storms, and light rain occurred in Tonk, Ajmer, Nagaur, Bundi, and Sawai Madhopur on Friday afternoon, providing some relief from the heat.
According to the Meteorological Department, isolated thunderstorms and rain may continue in eastern Rajasthan for the next day or two, but the weather will remain dry in most areas. Furthermore, the effects of heat waves and strong winds will continue to increase in western Rajasthan.
On Friday, temperatures in the capital, Jaipur, dropped by about 2 degrees Celsius. The city's maximum temperature was 38.5 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature was 22.4 degrees Celsius. Although the sun shone brightly during the day, light winds brought some relief.
