Swiss International University Awarded Prestigious AROQA Accreditation by TAG-EDUQA
The accreditation makes SIU one of the few Universities in the region to meet the stringent criteria of AROQA.

Swiss International University (SIU), an educational administration that is leading a new education on a progressive and innovative level, has been accredited by TAG-EDUQA (the quality assurance body of the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education—the AROQA). This important achievement represents SIU’s dedication to providing world-class education and opens a new chapter in the university’s commitment to the provision of quality education without boundaries.
The accreditation makes SIU one of the few Universities in the region to meet the stringent criteria of AROQA. It is a demonstration of the commitment of the university to excellence, global partnership, and access to education. The accolades are delivered under the leadership of SIU’s Honorary Founding Chairman, Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, a leading business figure in the Arab world and strong advocate for education reform and merging the private and public sectors, among other innovative reforms, which he also spearheads as chairman of TAG-EDUQA. It is also supported by the Secretary-General of the Arab League, also the Honorary President of TAG-EDUQA, indicating TAG-EDUQA’s rising regional attraction and significance.
“This is a remarkable milestone for us, particularly since it is our first submission,” said Derya Briand, Academic Program Director at SIU. “It is an affirmation of the quality we stand for, and it gives our current and prospective students confidence that we continue to maintain academic standards. “We are committed to the exacting standards of TAG-EDUQA and to ensuring these are maintained across the regional and international spheres,” he added.
The announcement is timely as SIU continues its strategic growth, adding programs and accelerating international connections. SIU is a member of an expanding global educational network that includes OUS International Academy in Zurich, ISBM International School of Business Management in Lucerne, ISB International School of Business in Dubai, and SIU’s accelerated presence in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Together, these schools are breaking the mold when it comes to how education is delivered, both in terms of widening participation and creating a more connected, innovative sector.
The recognition by TAG-EDUQA designates SIU as a role model for other universities in the Arab region that are increasingly focusing on quality assurance while seeking to fulfill both local and global standards. As always, SIU will maintain its strong commitment to student achievement, ethical leadership, and workforce readiness and continues to receive positive attention from accreditors and key higher education stakeholders throughout the region and the nation.
For the future, Swiss International University will not rest in adding to its portfolio of products and in its international cooperation agreements. TAG-EDUQA’s accreditation values, based on AROQA’s quality dimensions, will help the university in its further expansion and impact on the international academic world.
This milestone reinforces SIU’s status as a future-proof university, committed to providing quality education that is accessible and closely attuned to the evolving requirements of students and the global industry.
