Nation First’ is a Way of Life, Not Merely a Political Idea” – Chief Minister
Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], February 16: In Ahmedabad, the book ‘Mari Rashtraprathamni Kalpana’ (My Idea of Nation First), authored by Uday Mahurkar and published by Navbharat Sahitya Mandir, was formally released by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that citizens of India must take pride in their culture, traditions, and values. Recalling his experiences during foreign visits, he mentioned the sense of pride people express in their mother tongue and emphasized that one’s language and culture form the foundation of national identity.

The Chief Minister said that the idea of “Nation First” is not merely a political slogan, but a guiding principle for life. Since every living being embodies a part of the divine, individuals should adopt positive values in their lives and contribute constructively to nation-building. He added that only through a mindset that prioritizes the welfare of society and the nation can a prosperous and empowered India be built.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” he stated that India’s unity, integrity, and cultural diversity are its greatest strengths. Emphasizing the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,” he stressed that active participation from every citizen is essential for holistic development.
On the occasion, Gujarat BJP State President Jagdish Vishwakarma said that the “Somnath Swabhiman Yatra,” organized under the strong leadership of the Prime Minister, has become a symbol of patriotism and cultural pride. He noted that the history of Somnath Temple represents not only religious faith but also national self-respect.
Pujya Gyanvatsal Swami also delivered an address on the occasion. The author, Uday Mahurkar, provided insights into the book’s subject matter and appealed to citizens to imbibe the spirit of “Nation First” in their daily lives.
The event was attended by Gujarat BJP State Vice President Bharat Pandya, former Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, MLAs, literary figures, and literature enthusiasts.
