Fashion designer Anjali Phougat was invited by the Isha
Foundation for a special meet-and-greet with Sadhguru at the iconic
Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The occasion was the launch of Sadhguru’s
latest book, and for Anjali, the event signifies life coming full circle
on a personal journey that began over a decade ago.
She
said, “I’ve been following Sadhguru’s teachings for more than ten
years, and so many of his practices—Inner Engineering, Devi Sadhana—have
become part of my daily life. In fact, I try to incorporate them in my
designs as well.”
When she got the opportunity to meet Sadhguru, she presented him with a
custom-designed Shiv-Shakti-inspired garment, created with intention and
care—a design that wasn’t just fabric and thread but something that
carried her spiritual reverence.
She
said, “I wanted it to reflect a balance of power and grace, which Shiv
and Shakti represent. When he accepted it with his blessings, I can’t
describe how grounding and humbling that moment was.”
But standing at the Dolby Theatre was more than a proud moment for her.
“It wasn’t the spotlight that moved me. It was the silence of that
exchange, the blessing, the presence. That will stay with me,” Anjali
ended.
