Post-match, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) levied penalties on all the 11 players selected for the match, along with the Impact Player. Gujarat Titans won the toss and managed to post 229-3 in just 20 overs. In reply, CSK were bowled out for 140 in their chase of 230.shivam Dube was the highest run-getter for CSK, contributing 47 runs in 17 deliveries with 4 fours and 4 sixes. However, none of the other batsmen could last long. Urvil Patel and Sanju Samson failed to even open their accounts, leading to the team's biggest defeat in IPL history.
Following the defeat, the BCCI fined Ruturaj Gaikwad ₹2.4 million (2.4 million rupees), while the remaining members of the playing XI, including impact players, were fined 25 percent of their match fees or ₹6 million (600,000 rupees), whichever was less.
