The latest rendition of BMW’s luxury sedan model 7 series was unveiled. While retaining its basic structure, it receives an updated front and rear end design. The front features thinner daytime driving lights above the traditional lamps while the rear has narrower tail lights along with the darkened lower end. The vehicle also boasts bigger wheels that can be as big as 22 inches. A choice of color variations including a two tone variation will be available for this car.
The interior is upgraded with a redesigned dashboard and an iDrive system that operates on Mac’s operating system. It features a large display spanning the entire width of the windscreen, a 17.9-inch touchscreen, and a separate 14.6-inch screen for the passenger. The car supports modern features like AI voice control, over-the-air updates, and smartphone integration.
The new BMW 7 Series is offered in a variety of petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric engine options. Its 3.0-liter, six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines are paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The 740 xDrive petrol model produces 400 hp and 580 Nm of torque. The 740d xDrive diesel model produces 313 hp and 670 Nm of torque.
Plug-in hybrids include the 750e xDrive and M760e xDrive models. Both are powered by a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor. The 750e model produces 489 hp and 700 Nm of torque, while the M760 model produces 612 hp and 800 Nm of torque.
According to WLTP standards, the 750e model can travel approximately 70-82 km in electric-only mode, while the M760e has a range of approximately 80 km.
The fully electric i7 lineup includes several options, including the i7 50 xDrive, i7 60 xDrive, and i7 M70 xDrive. All models are powered by a 112.5kWh battery with support for DC fast charging up to 250kW. The i7 50 xDrive produces 455hp and 660Nm of torque, while the top-spec i7 M70 xDrive boasts 680hp and a maximum torque of 1100Nm.
