Born and raised in Jammu, Shatakshi’s journey in music began at a tender age. Her childhood was filled with the melodies of 90’s Bollywood hits and international pop sensations, owing to her father’s thoughtful gifts from his work travels. This early exposure to diverse musical styles has shaped Shatakshi into the versatile artist she is today.

“My upbringing, surrounded by sounds from both Indian and Western music, has deeply influenced my artistic vision,” Shatakshi shares. “It’s this blend that I aim to bring to my audience, creating music that defies cultures and borders.”

Shatakshi’s path to musical fame was anything but conventional. After moving to Mumbai in her teens, she first made waves in the fashion industry. Her blog, Arch Attire, gained popularity, establishing her as a fashion influencer known for her artistic flair and insightful writing. This success led to collaborations with major brands and appearances at international fashion weeks.

However, music remained her true calling. “If you are a creative person, your creativity cannot be curtailed in one direction but transcends in everything that you do,” Shatakshi explains, reflecting on her transition from fashion to music.

Following her graduation in Architecture from Mumbai University, Shatakshi dedicated six years to training in Indian Classical Music, a decision that would profoundly impact her life and artistic direction.

Now, with her debut album ‘Five Diamond’, Shatakshi is ready to showcase her musical talent to the world. The album showcases her songwriting and composing skills, featuring a mix of Punjabi and Hindi lyrics that promise to get people moving.

“Five Diamonds for me,” Shatakshi reveals. “Is a celebration of femininity, inviting everyone to embrace their inner royalty and shine as bright as a diamond. Each song is a carefully composed work, translating emotions into melodies that I hope will resonate with listeners all across the world.”

Shatakshi’s vision is that she wants to be an influential figure in the Punjabi music industry, pushing women to the spotlight of a formerly male-dominated industry. Her approach is based on empowerment and inclusion rather than revolt.

“My goal is to connect audiences globally with my music and spread waves of love,” Shatakshi states. “I want to establish myself as a Punjabi pop star with an international sound, bridging cultures and genres.”
