Surat (Gujarat) [India], April 24: Protean eGov Technologies Ltd., a pioneer in building population-scale Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), has been awarded the mandate by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to operate the Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) in Surat. This ASK centre opened at Tulsi Krupa Arcade- First Floor, Near Aia Mata Chowk- Puna Kumbhaiya Road, Parvat Patia- Surat-395020, will help in strengthening citizen access to Aadhaar enrolment and update services across the residential and commercial corridors in and around the city of Surat.
To encourage citizens to avail ASK services, the mandatory biometric updates for children in the age groups of 5–7 years (MBU1) and 15–17 years (MBU2) are provided free of cost. Additionally, for children aged 7–15 years, UIDAI has made biometric updates free till 30 September 2026, encouraging parents to complete these updates in a timely manner. These defined age brackets are important as children undergo biometric changes, making periodic updates essential. Importantly, first-time Aadhaar enrolment is completely free of cost, making it easy for every resident to get enrolled without any charges.
In addition, this Protean eGov-run ASK centre offers a comprehensive suite of walk-in services, including Aadhaar enrolment, demographic and biometric updates, Aadhaar authentication, and e-KYC services. Designed to deliver a consistent, secure, and citizen-friendly experience, the centre aims to ensure timely and reliable resolution of Aadhaar-related requirements.
