Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 05: Child Help Foundation (CHF), a leading non-profit organization dedicated to child welfare and humanitarian support, participated in the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026 in support of the Government of India’s flagship initiative, “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.” Through the powerful platform of sport, CHF ran to reaffirm its commitment to saving, protecting and educating girls, while amplifying a message that continues to demand urgent collective action.
The marathon became a space where purpose met perseverance. CHF runners, volunteers, and supporters took to the track to highlight the persistent challenges girls face, gender inequality, limited access to education, and safety concerns, and to advocate for a future where every girl can grow with dignity, opportunity, and confidence. Every step symbolised solidarity with millions of girls whose rights and voices are still overlooked.
Child Help Foundation actively supports the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao mission through sustained community engagement. One such initiative is the Invisible Girl Project (IGP), implemented in Maharashtra and Haryana, which focuses on spreading awareness and sensitizing communities about the deep-rooted issues faced by women and girls. Through workshops, discussions, and outreach programmes, IGP challenges social norms, addresses discrimination, and encourages families and communities to recognize and uphold girls’ value.
