New Delhi [India], May 10: Award-winning journalist and author, Veena Rao, is all set to unveil her debut novel, Purple Lotus, to Indian readers following its success in the U.S. The book in India is being published by a Delhi-based publishing house, TreeShade Books, to make it more accessible for Indian readers. The official release of the book in India is scheduled for June 2024.
Published in the U.S. in 2020, the book has already garnered significant acclaim, including the 2021 American Fiction Award, finalist status for the 2021 Georgia Author of the Year, and recognition as a finalist in the multicultural and women’s fiction categories of the 2021 International Book Awards. Additionally, Purple Lotus has been the winner in the She Writes Press and SparkPress toward Equality in Publishing (STEP) contest.
