Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], March 01: Ahmedabad witnessed an extraordinary spiritual and cultural event in the form of a grand Nagar Yatra in honour of Goddess Bhadrakali, the city’s revered Nagar Devi and guardian deity. Held for the first time in over 600 years, the yatra, which coincided with Ahmedabad’s Foundation Day on February 26, saw an overwhelming turnout of thousands of devotees, reaffirming the city’s deep-rooted traditions and devotion.
Organised by the Dharmaraksha Foundation and Mavins Marcomm, the historic procession commenced at 8:00 am from the sacred Bhadrakali Temple, drawing enthusiastic participation from devotees, religious leaders and officials. The idol of Goddess Bhadrakali was carried in a beautifully adorned chariot, accompanied by the chanting of prayers and hymns by thousands of devotees, creating a divine and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
