The ICC announced the annual ranking for the mens cricket teams on Tuesday. India maintained their top position for the second consecutive year. India is the only team that has won two T20 World Cups. The Indian men's team, captained by Suryakumar Yadav, won their third championship after defeating New Zealand in the finals of the T20 World Cup 2026.

This ranking also considers the performance of teams over the year. It is based on the outcomes of games played from May 2025 to April 2026. It considers half the rating of performance in the last two years.

India has the highest rating in this ranking, ranking first with 275 ratings. England, after playing 34 matches, is in second place with 262 ratings. Australia is in third and New Zealand in fourth.

New Zealand, which reached the final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, has received 247 rating points. South Africa, which lost in the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup, has received 244 rating points. South Africa lost to New Zealand in the semi-finals of this year's T20 World Cup. Pakistan is in sixth place with 240 rating points. Two-time world champions West Indies are in seventh place with 233 ratings. Bangladesh is in eighth, Sri Lanka in ninth, and Afghanistan in tenth.

The United States has seen the biggest increase in ratings, surpassing teams like the Netherlands and Scotland to reach 13th place. Zimbabwe and Ireland remain in 11th and 12th place, respectively, as they did last year. The top seven ranked teams remain unchanged this year. These same teams were in the top seven last year, with the same rankings.
