S. Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister of India, commented on Thursday that the India-Africa relationship holds special significance today, given the difficult geopolitical situation in the world. According to him, it would send an assurance of consistency and dependability amid turbulence and uncertainty in the world.

Jaishankar made this statement during the inauguration ceremony of the logo, theme, and website for the upcoming India-Africa Forum Summit-4. He pointed out that India and Africa are not only developmental partners but also partners in shaping a brighter future for the world.

This statement was made against the backdrop of numerous conflicts taking place around the world, including those in West Asia. The logo for the upcoming summit features a lion figure superimposed on an image depicting interconnected maps of India and Africa.

The theme is "Enduring Partnership, Shared Vision," and the summit will be held from May 28 to 31. Several ambassadors and diplomats from various African countries participated in the event. Jaishankar also emphasized that India has expanded its diplomatic presence in Africa in recent years by opening 17 new missions, bringing the total number of Indian missions in Africa to 46.

Jaishankar stated that Africa today holds a key position in India's foreign policy. The Foreign Minister stated that India-Africa relations are based on our civilizational ties, which have developed through centuries of cultural exchange and people-to-people ties. He noted that India's solidarity with African countries during their struggle against colonialism further strengthened these ties.
