Weather in Rajasthan is once again changing. As per the Meteorological Department, there are possibilities of thunderstorms, rains, and winds blowing strongly in various parts of Rajasthan in the coming week. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be adverse weather conditions prevailing in many regions in Bikaner, Ajmer, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions on May 4 due to a fresh western disturbance prevailing in these regions.
In this period, there are chances of having strong thunderstorms and rains with winds blowing at 60 to 70 kmph. On regular days, winds may blow at 40 to 50 kmph. The Meteorological Department says that due to the impact of storm and rain activities, the maximum temperature in most parts of the state will remain below 44 degrees Celsius for the next one week. This is expected to provide relief to people from the heatwave and intense heat.
Due to the change in weather, temperatures in most cities of the state were recorded below 40 degrees Celsius. However, in view of the heatwave situation in Jaisalmer, the administration has changed the timings of schools up to the 8th grade. The Meteorological Center, Jaipur has issued an orange alert for storm and rain in 19 districts of the state and a yellow alert in 8 districts. According to the department, strong winds can blow at speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour in many areas.

On Sunday, several districts across the state witnessed heavy thunderstorms, rain, and hailstorms. Rain accompanied by strong winds lashed Dausa, Kotputli-Behror, Alwar, and Hanumangarh, disrupting normal life. Trees were uprooted in several locations, and the gusty winds even blew down huts.
Rain and hailstorms accompanied by heavy thunderstorms lasted for about an hour in the Manpur area of Dausa district. A large tree fell on the road near the Manpur intersection on the Jaipur-Agra National Highway, causing a traffic jam that lasted for about 40 minutes. Hailstorms also occurred in the Mehandipur Balaji area.
Traffic was disrupted in the capital Jaipur due to a fallen tree in front of the Hawa Mahal. Meanwhile, in Milkpur village of the Ramgarh assembly constituency in Alwar district, several trees were uprooted due to a strong thunderstorm. Incidents of hailstorm were also reported in Narayanpur of Kotputli-Baharod and Lalsaot area of Dausa.
