There has been a sudden change in weather conditions in the hot state of Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department of India has issued a warning about stormy and windy weather in various districts until May 6th. This will definitely provide some respite to people from the scorching heat, but farmers are apprehensive.

According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued for Ajmer, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Deeg, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Tonk, as well as Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Phalodi, and Sriganganagar in western Rajasthan. Thunderstorms and light to moderate rain accompanied by strong winds are expected in these areas.

Although there were rains and hailstorms in some parts, the temperature has slightly reduced. However, Barmer recorded temperatures up to 44.6°C, and several other districts had temperatures of around 40°C to 44°C.

According to forecasts, the weather in the state will remain unstable for the next few days. The day will be hot, while evenings are expected to be cloudy, with strong winds and rain.

The Meteorological Department says that a new western disturbance is about to become active, which could cause a drop in maximum temperatures by 1 to 2 degrees. This is expected to provide partial relief from the heat wave. However, this change in weather has increased the concerns of farmers, as there is a possibility of damage to standing crops due to the storm and rain.
