The weather in Rajasthan is currently offering some relief. As a result of storms and rains, the weather is cooler than usual in most regions of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, this coolness might continue for some time; however, there are indications that heat will increase in western Rajasthan from May 9 onwards.
According to the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, a mild western disturbance is affecting the eastern parts of the state. Due to this, there is a possibility of storms and light rain in many districts on May 6th and 7th. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in seven districts of the state.
In the coming afternoon, cloudy weather, gusty winds, and rain showers are anticipated in many regions of eastern Rajasthan, specifically the Bharatpur district. There may be changes in weather conditions in south Rajasthan districts, such as Udaipur, Pali, Sirohi, Rajsamand, and Bhilwara.
Since there is cloudiness and rainfall, temperature levels remain under 40 degrees Celsius in most towns in the state. In addition, due to recent rains, daytime temperatures have dropped by 2 to 3 degrees in many places, especially the Udaipur district.
However, the Meteorological Department has warned that heat waves may re-intensify in western Rajasthan after May 9th. Temperatures are expected to reach 45 degrees Celsius in areas around Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Phalodi. Heatwaves are also expected in these areas. Weather experts say that while there has been some relief from the storms and rain, intense heat may return to the western parts of the state in the second week of May.
